Claremont Street Sweeping Services
As a friendly reminder, please do not park your cars in the street during your scheduled sweeping day.
February 17, 2021
Street sweeping is an important service to the community. It not only keeps our streets looking clean; it helps the environment by preventing pollutants particles from being washed down the storm drain and entering the ocean. The City provides street sweeping services through a contract with Nationwide Environmental Services, Inc. and City staff sweep the protected bike lanes on Foothill Boulevard. Major arterial streets are swept weekly and neighborhood street sweeping occurs twice a month. To learn when your street sweeping day is scheduled, please check the City website under Municipal Services.

As a friendly reminder, please do not park your cars in the street during your scheduled sweeping day. When cars or other obstacles are in the street the City’s equipment cannot sweep the curb to collect and remove dirt and debris; thus, diminishing our objective of keeping streets clean and improving the environment. The sanitation division also asks that residents bring their trash containers back onto private property after service. Although trash collection and street sweeping are never scheduled on the same day, in some instances street sweeping may occur the day after trash collection. Removing trash and recycling carts from the curb in a timely manner helps to ensure that the street sweeper can clean thoroughly.
If you have questions regarding street sweeping, please contact the Community Services Department at (909) 399-5431.
