Claremont: Tree Trimming And Planting - Resi Pay Program
Resident are charged the City's current contract trimming or planting costs plus an $11 administrative fee.
February 10, 2021
At times, residents contact the City to request that their City tree be trimmed earlier than is called for by the seven-year grid trimming schedule. Residents often do not want to wait until the next scheduled trimming. If the requested work is determined to be desirable and beneficial to the tree by the City Arborist, residents may opt for trimming outside this cycle at their cost. Trimming is coordinated through the Community Services Department and done by the City’s contract tree maintenance contractor. Trimming could cost as low as $137.

Through the Resi-Pay Program, residents can also pay for tree planting. Residents with vacant tree sites are offered a 15-gallon size tree, free of charge. A larger size tree can be purchased for as low as $237. This cost is for a 24” box size tree. Trees are planted by the City’s contractor within 90 days of receiving payment. Tree planting activities occur during the months or October through April.
