Claremont Valentine’s Celebration At Meal Program
"Seniors were treated to festive, custom-made potted air plants and magnets created by Heart of Stone Designs"
February 10, 2021
Thanks to the generosity of community sponsors and volunteers, the older adults who participate in the Senior Emergency Meal Program received lots of love this past week in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Seniors were treated to festive, custom-made potted air plants and magnets created by Heart of Stone Designs, thanks to a sponsorship from Inter Valley Health Plan. Participants also received hand-made Valentine’s Day cards and candy courtesy of students from Claremont High School’s National Honor Society, Webb School’s Interact Club, and Claremont Colleges’ Gerontology Association. To top it all off, older adults were able to drive through a “tunnel of love” while picking up their meal kits and Valentine’s Day goodies, thanks to a sponsorship from Comfort Keepers.
