Claremont Vehicle Burglary Suspects Apprehended
A purse and iphone among the items missing from a car parked at Wilderness Park. Two were arrested after being found with the stolen items.

CLAREMONT, CA — Claremont police announced that suspects in a recent vehicle burglary were arrested for the crime.
On June 4, at approximately 1:30 p.m. an officer from the Claremont Police Department responded to Mountain Avenue and Via Santa Catarina Avenue regarding a vehicle burglary that had occurred within the previous hour.
"The suspects had smashed the rear window to the victim's vehicle and stole her purse and iPhone while she was walking in the Wilderness Park," Claremont police said.

The officer located surveillance cameras at a residence in the area, which captured the crime. The suspect entered an awaiting vehicle which was a silver 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, that left the area south on Mountain Ave.
At shortly before 4:45 p.m. the suspect's vehicle was located by Claremont PD units, driving on Arrow Highway east of College Avenue.

"A traffic stop was conducted and the two occupants of the vehicle were detained. A search of the vehicle was conducted and officers located the property belonging to the victim," Police said.
Two suspects were arrested and booked at the Claremont Police Department Jail and held in lieu of $20,000 bail. They were expected to appear at Pomona Superior Court on Tuesday, June 6.
The driver, Nathan Slayton, a 29-year-old Glendora resident was arrested for Burglary, Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession of a Methamphetamine Pipe.
The passenger, Tataya Stoneking, a 36-year-old Pomona resident, was arrested for Burglary and Receiving Stolen Property.
