Claremont Virtual Memorial Day

Due to COVID-19, the City has made the difficult decision to cancel the annual Memorial Day Service in Oak Park Cemetery. Instead, the City will be presenting a Memorial Day video tribute that will be available online at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25. The tribute will include a photo slideshow of service men and women who died in the line of duty. The City is asking for the community’s help with this project and to recognize fallen soldiers on Memorial Day. If you know someone who died during active military service and you would like them to be honored during our video tribute, please:

*email a photo of the service member to bbarnes-coloma@ci.claremont.ca.us by Wednesday, May 13;

*include their full name; and

*include any additional information you have or feel comfortable sharing including branch of the military, rank in the military, and dates of service.

The service member does not need to have been a Claremont resident.
