Deputy Sentenced For Soliciting Prostitute In Claremont
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Raymond Edward Bernasconi, 56, was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

CLAREMONT, CA — A man who was employed as a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy when he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute was sentenced Tuesday to 30 days in jail.
The 56-year-old deputy, Raymond Edward Bernasconi, pleaded no contest April 10 to one misdemeanor count of soliciting a prostitute, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
Bernasconi made arrangements online to meet a prostitute at a Claremont motel last Oct. 12, prosecutors said.

Bernasconi — who was off-duty at the time — was arrested by law enforcement officers participating in a multi-agency human trafficking sting after he went to the motel, prosecutors said.
His status with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department was not immediately available.
