DUI Checkpoint This Weekend in Claremont says PD
This weekend, drivers should be advised that a DUI checkpoint will be in effect for the Claremont area.

CLAREMONT, CA—Drivers, be aware. The Claremont Police Department has announced that they are conducting a DUI or sobriety checkpoint in the city at an undisclosed location this week.
On Friday, Aug. 26, the Claremont Police will be setting up shop somewhere in the city limits between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. Aug. 27.
"Drivers will be stopped long enough to ensure that they are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol," Claremont Police Department Chief of Police Paul Cooper stated in release.

"Officers will also ensure that drivers are wearing their seat-belts and possess valid driver licenses," he said.
The funding for checkpoint programs comes from a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration grant, provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety.
