Claremont Explosion Leaves House In Flames
An explosion on Monday rocked Claremont as Los Angeles County firefighters reported a home engulfed in flames.

CLAREMONT, CA — Residents nearby thought they felt an earthquake Monday afternoon, but it was an explosion and house fire that rattled the residents of Claremont.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department reported a house fire around 4 p.m. in the 200 block of West 12th Street in the city of Claremont. A one-story home erupted with dark smoke, fully engulfed in flames, Los Angeles County Fire incident reports said on Twitter. Los Angeles County Firefighters worked the scene of the heavily damaged home, in the area of 12th Street and Harvard Avenue, according to a dispatcher.
It was not clear as of this report what caused the explosion and subsequent fire in the one story home.

Resident Joseph Reynolds posted videos of the burning house, located behind his home. The explosion was also felt by the nearby Claremont School of Theology.
As of this report, no injuries were reported.
