FAIRPLEX ANNOUNCES FAMILY ART WORKSHOPS SCHEDULE

Fairplex, home of the LA County Fair in Pomona, has announced its Family Art Workshop schedule. The no-cost program is open to all and includes free art supplies and professional guidance. The dates of upcoming workshops, which are held between the hours of Noon and 2 p.m., are:

· February 13

· March 12

· April 9

· May 14

· June 11

“While budget cuts at schools are sometimes aimed at art programs, Fairplex developed these free workshops as a community resource and a way for families to come together and express themselves creativity,” said Canavan, who added that the program is completely funded by generous donations from Fairplex employees.

Among the benefits of the workshops:

· What cannot be said with words may be more easily expressed through art

· Art can provide an outlet for expressing your inner self

· Art is active, fun and stimulating
