Claremont Police have arrested a father and his son suspected of breaking into a home while the resident inside asleep.

Officers found the home’s rear glass sliding door had been shattered with a large chunk of concrete. No suspects were found at the scene. Police said the intruders entered and stole a purse the resident left on the kitchen table.
Investigators pieced together a description of the vehicle and sent it out to surrounding agencies. A short time later, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials spotted a vehicle fitting the description on northbound Interstate 15 near the Interstate 215 interchange in the Devore area.
