Free Job Fair Set for Dec. 2 at Bethany of Montclair

More than 40 organizations expected to be on hand to interview for more than 450 full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.

MONTCLAIR, Calif. – Bethany Church of Montclair will ring in the holiday season with a free job fair on Wednesday, Dec. 2, for military veterans, currently employed workers looking for new career opportunities and those who are presently unemployed.

Many of the leading companies, government organizations, staffing agencies, nonprofit organizations and other businesses from the Inland Empire and throughout Southern California will be on hand conducting on-the-spot interviews to fill more than 450 full-time, part-time and seasonal positions for the holidays and the new year ahead. On average, hourly pay rates range from $10-$25, but there are also an assortment of higher-level job openings.

“At Bethany we are always looking for ways that we can serve our community,” said Bethany Pastor Josh Matlock. “This is why we are very excited to host our first job fair. God created us to work. Helping people find employment is part of the holistic soul health that we are about in the church. May God do a great work in our community through this event.”

More than 40 employers are expected to participate at the free Inland Empire Job, College and Veterans Fair, which will run from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Bethany of Montclair. The church is located at 9950 Monte Vista Avenue in Montclair. To register, visit http://bethanyofmontclair.org.

Over the course of three-and-a-half hours, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and interview for a variety of positions in accounting, administration, clerical, customer service, education, financial services, health care, nursing, law enforcement, management, manufacturing, non-profit, sales, transportation and more. The job fair will also feature various employment resources and higher educational opportunities. Attendees should dress in business attire and come equipped with resumes.

A separate pre-fair job search, resume and interviewing workshop will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, to help job seekers prepare and sharpen their interviewing skills. The workshop, which will be held from 10 a.m.-noon at Bethany of Montclair, will offer valuable tips about updating resumes, online job searches, how to dress for success, and the best approaches to interviewing for a job. Only those attending the workshop will be given a “fast pass” entry good for immediate entry to the Dec. 2 job fair. To register, visit http://bethanyofmontclair.org.
