GALLERIA AT TYLER CELEBRATES HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH WITH HISPANIDAD FASHION EXTRAVAGANZA ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28

Galleria at Tyler celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with creativity,  


fashion and
flair with the Hispanidad Fashion Show.
Enriched with a blend of style and
culture, Southern California designers will be showcasing their latest apparel
and accessories on the catwalk. Featured designers include: Jose Maria of Jose Maria Designs, Gioia of Gioia’s Room, Josue Pompa, Susanna Perez and Gywen Soto.



Mall
retailers are also taking a stroll down the runway: Macy’s, Papaya, Cotton On, jcpenney, Angl, Wet Seal, NY&C, Windsor, Loft, and 2b bebe. Make-up for the models by Sephora and hair by Great
Expectations Salon & Spa. Quinceanera Magazine will also be parading
the latest in Quince dresses. Mexican Folklore dancers from Leyenda Dance Company
will also be performing.

Each
year, Americans observe National
Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 - October 15, by celebrating the
histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came
from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The
observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon
Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day
period. It was enacted into law on August 17, 1988.

The day of
September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for
Latin American countries, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and
Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on
September 16 and September 18, respectively.
