Gas Prices Fall In Claremont

Gas Prices in San Gabriel Valley have fallen to $3 per gallon, but 16-cents higher than one year ago, AAA says.

CLAREMONT, CA — It's time to fill up in Claremont, according to AAA reports.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent Wednesday to $3.005, its lowest amount since Feb. 24.

The average price has decreased 18 of the past 19 days, dropping 4.7 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 1.5 cents less than one week ago and 2.5 cents lower than one month ago but 18.7 cents higher than on Jan. 1 and 15.9 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $2.989, its lowest amount since Feb. 21. It has decreased 15 of the past 18 days, dropping 4.5 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 1.7 cents less than one week ago and 2.4 cents lower than one month ago but 17.2 cents higher than on Jan. 1 and 17.7 cents more than one year ago.
