He has been a Division I baseball recruit since his freshman year of high school and committed to Cal State Fullerton in Nov. 2012. He has had 10 major league teams come to his house to tell him that he has the potential to go pro. His fastball tops out at 92 mph and he just happens to be the grandson of the late Minnesota Twins Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew.
Bonita pitcher Chad Hockin lives a life that would have most 18 year-olds with their head in the clouds and a sense of entitlement; however, he keeps his feet firmly planted on the ground.With every question about his successes, he looks down and most of the time he mentions his brother’s accomplishments instead of his own.
