La Verne: 8 Hour Water Shutdown At Wheeler Ave. And Arrow Hwy.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY
As part of the 9.1-mile Foothill Gold Line light rail project, crews will be working at two locations on Wheeler Avenue in the City of La Verne to perform water system improvement operations. Operations will occur at Wheeler Avenue and 1st Street and the southwest corner of Wheeler Avenue and Arrow Highway.

Construction activities will occur from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17. Operations will result in the City temporarily shutting off water to several properties south of Arrow Highway for 8 hours. Water service will not be affected in the residential areas on 1st Street between Wheeler Avenue and Park Avenue.

TRAFFIC ADVISORIES
Reduced traffic lanes on northbound Wheeler Avenue and eastbound Arrow Highway are to be expected. Thrrough traffic will be maintained at all times.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Typical noise from construction equipment will be produced near the active work zones such as air compressors, backhoes, and other construction vehicles. Water is expected to be shut off to several properties for approximately 8 hours.
