La Verne Chamber Of Commerce: Sowing Seeds For Life Partners With Church For Clothing Giveaways

Sowing Seeds for Life, a La Verne-based nonprofit, is partnering with La Verne United Methodist Church to provide free clothing items to individuals and families in need. The church is located across the street from Damien High School at 3205 D St., La Verne.

The clothing giveaways are held the first Saturday of each month from 9:00-11:00 a.m.; however, due to the upcoming Labor Day holiday, the September event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11, 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Based on demand, the amount of clothing taken may be limited, but attendees are encouraged to take what they need. Items are categorized by women, men, children/infants, shoes/purses, and personal items (such as socks and underwear). To make selections and carry-out easier, its recommended that attendees bring bring their own bags. Bags are not provided at this time.

For their own protection and the safety of others, children will not be admitted. Also, COVID-19 protocols will be enforced (masks, distancing, etc.). Hand sanitizers will be available.
