The La Verne Chamber of Commerce’s 2020-21 Board of Directors was installed on June 25 in the chamber’s first part virtual (via Zoom), part in-person event (at Taberna). The Board, which was sworn in by Mayor Tim Hepburn and began its term on July 1, consists of:

“As I look back on my year as chair, I’m struck by how quickly things can change - from one month to the next, from one week to the next,” Snider said. “Even from one day to the next! We had to pivot and adapt quickly.

“I think what I’ll be most proud of when I remember my time as chair of the Chamber is the fact that in the midst of challenging, uncertain, difficult, unprecedented times, we were able to come together and serve an important role in the community while continuing to fulfill our mission.
“I’m proud of the cooperation and partnership we have with the city council and city staff,” he said. “I’m proud of the community members and the support they have shown to La Verne businesses. We, as a community, are going to have to continue to pull together and support each other, because we have a challenging road ahead.
“However, I’m confident that the Chamber, led by incoming Chair Michael Mergil, is up to the challenge,” Snider added. “As we navigate the recovery and plan our future, we couldn’t have a better chair in Michael. His knowledge, passion and talent will serve the Chamber and the community well, as he guides us this next year.”
