La Verne University Calls All to Gather and Affirm Diversity in Candlelight Vigil
All were invited the University of La Verne, for a Tuesday night community interfaith Candlelight Vigil in the wake of recent hate mail.

LA VERNE, CA — The University of La Verne's Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, along with the Inland Valley Interfaith Network have planned a candlelight vigil Tuesday evening, calling for unity and solidarity for all.
After recent letters sent to local mosques have denounced area Muslims, the University of La Verne is working to "gather and affirm our diverse communities and express our commitment to be with and for one another and strengthen our commitment to be communities of compassion," a flyer for the event said.
The gathering, held on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. outside the Interfaith Chapel at 1940 Bonita Avenue at the University of La Verne, immediately following a documentary screening of "Class Divide," from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Campus Center Ballroom A.
