Leovision, a group of senior business majors at University of La Verne, has created La Verne’s Got Talent, a virtual contest that will be held via the Chamber’s Shop La Verne Facebook page. “The goal is to create a safe, family-friendly event that all La Verne community members may participate in from the comfort of their own home,” says Desery Arellano, one of the students involved in the project. “We hope to increase the compliance and effectiveness of the California governor’s stay-at-home order by offering a fun diversion.”

The contest is open to all La Verne community members – adults, kids, groups, individuals. Simply ‘like’ the Shop La Verne Facebook page, then upload your video (two minutes maximum) to the page. Submissions will be accepted through Friday, May 15, and the winner, decided by the Leovision students, will be reposted the following Friday. The winner will also receive $50 in gift certificates to La Verne businesses.
