Greek Garden Cooking
The foods of Greece are bright and sunny. Vegetables are the star, meat and fish are the supporting cast. We will start off with Hortopita, a greens and herbs cheese pie similar to spanakopita. Horiatiki Salata, a rustic Greek salad, will follow. An amazingly simple yet elegant Eggplant and Shrimp Feta Casserole -- one of my specialities -- will be served with seasoned, baked pita bread. For dessert: Galaktoboureko -- also known as Bougatsa -- a custard-filled phyllo pie with a cinnamon topping. A light rose wine, or lemony iced tea will accompany this feast.Cost: $50 per person, 10% discount for 2 or more
