Lotsa Flavor Cooking Class: Greek Garden Cooking

Greek Garden Cooking

The foods of Greece are bright and sunny. Vegetables are the star, meat and fish are the supporting cast. We will start off with Hortopita, a greens and herbs cheese pie similar to spanakopita. Horiatiki Salata, a rustic Greek salad, will follow. An amazingly simple yet elegant Eggplant and Shrimp Feta Casserole -- one of my specialities -- will be served with seasoned, baked pita bread. For dessert: Galaktoboureko -- also known as Bougatsa -- a custard-filled phyllo pie with a cinnamon topping. A light rose wine, or lemony iced tea will accompany this feast.
Cost: $50 per person, 10% discount for 2 or more
