Man Who Died Days After Arrest Named

Charlie Duran, 51, was arrested June 24 and was hospitalized the next day.

The coroner's office today released the name of a 51- year-old man who died in a hospital after he was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence.

Charlie Duran lived in Rowland Heights, said coroner's Lt. Cheryl MacWillie. An autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.

Duran was pronounced dead at San Dimas Community Hospital at 2:37 p.m. Saturday, said Lt. Mary Leef of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau. Duran was arrested on June 24 by deputies from the sheriff's Walnut/Diamond Bar Station on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence and was hospitalized the next day for medical reasons, deputies said.
