PD Searches for Burglar That Targeted Claremont Church
Someone broke into the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Easter Sunday.

The spirit of love and fellowship was in the hearts of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church congregation, but it may have been missing from the heart of a thief who stole musical instruments and electronics from their Fellowship Hall on Easter.
Church members and Claremont Police are now searching for any information on the items, stolen sometime between 5 p.m. that Sunday and Monday morning. The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is at 1700 N. Towne Ave.
The case is under investigation, said Claremont Lt. Jason Walters. And the public is being asked to report anyone who may be selling or pawning items that raise suspicions, he said.

“Hopefully there are identifying marks or something on the instruments that would identify them as belonging to the church,” he said.
Thieves also took electronics, including a television, said church elder Flo Gaiser. They are handling the loss as well as expected but it still disappointing, she said.

No one had been in the hall during Easter services, Gaiser said.
“We’re not happy about it. It’s a cost to us,” she said. “It’s just one of those things.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5460.
