Updated: Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Metrolink Train in Pomona
It was unclear if the death was a suicide. Law enforcement authorities were withholding the man's name until his next of kin could be notified.

A 42-year-old man was fatally struck by a Metrolink train in Pomona THURSDAY.
Westbound Riverside Line Metrolink train 409 hit the man at 9:21 a.m. at the Hamilton Boulevard grade crossing, about a half-mile west of the downtown Pomona station, Metrolink spokeswoman Delana Gbenekama said.
No other injuries were reported, she said.

Passengers on the Riverside to Los Angeles train were taken off and bused to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, Scott Johnson of Metrolink said.
"The investigation into fatal accident was being handled by the Pomona police," Gbenekama said.

Witnesses told Pomona police that the victim walked around the railroad crossing arm despite flashing lights and other warning devices.
