Rancho Cucamonga Church Connecting Job Seekers with Employers at June 9 Job Fair
Solid Ground Church will host some 40 employers who are actively looking to interview and hire new employees. All are welcome to attend.
“One of our most fundamental purposes is to serve and care for our community and help our neighbors find hope and resolution through growth and opportunity.”
That is the belief of Bob Beaty, pastor at Solid Ground Church in Rancho Cucamonga. His church will host a job fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, June 9. The church is located at 9974 19th Street in Rancho Cucamonga. The event is free to the public. To register, visit http://sgbic.com/job-fair.
“It is our desire to walk alongside our neighbors to assist them in the journey of life in any way that we can,” Beaty said. Providing a space for people to connect with potential employers is a very practical way we can care for our community. It has been extremely exciting to hear the stories of people finding jobs as a result of their interviews at our job fair last year.”

Solid Ground Church is presenting the event in partnership with Church Job Fairs, which works with churches to present events throughout California. Church Job Fairs (www.churchjobfairs.org) helps provide job seekers with hope and encouragement, while introducing them to a welcoming local church and delivering enthusiastic job candidates to employers.
Currently unemployed, military veterans and those who are looking for new career options will have ample opportunities to meet with dozens of organizations and educational institutions – all in one place and all in one day. Because attendees will have the opportunity to network, develop valuable contacts and get a foot in the door with respected companies that are actively hiring, they are encouraged to dress in business attire and come equipped with current resumes.

Solid Ground Church will also host a free resume writing and interviewing workshop on Thursday, June 2, from 10 a.m.-noon. The session will offer valuable tips about writing and updating resumes, online job searches, how to dress for success and the best approaches to interviewing for a job.
