SIG ALERT: 210 Closure In Claremont Wrong Way Fatal Collision
One person was confirmed dead in the Monday afternoon wrong-way collision on the 210 Freeway near Baseline road.

CLAREMONT, CA — At least one person has been killed, another has been critically injured and three people have sustained minor injuries in a wrong-way crash involving multiple vehicles on the eastbound Foothill 210 Freeway near Mills Avenue and Baseline in Claremont, authorities say. The closure may last in excess of 5 hours, according to most recent reports.
The crash was reported at just after 4:15 p.m. Monday, when a wrong way driver in lanes caused a chain reaction collision involving at least seven vehicles, according to California Highway Patrol reports. The crash may have been the result of a pursuit, however that is unconfirmed as of this report.
KCAL9 reported that the head-on collision occurred after a kidnapping and police pursuit from San Bernardino.

Emergency vehicles used the jaws of life to extract victims from some of the cars, and multiple ambulances were reported on scene.
CHP reports that the closure may last in excess five hours on Eastbound 210 at Mill, for all lanes.
