As I said in an earlier post, light is the most important thing in photography. This picture was taken at an indoor arena. The only light available was the light coming through the doorway. A flash would have been useless to use. Timing, experience and a little luck help to make a good picture. When I looked through the lens, I saw an opportunity to use the available light to make what I think is a great picture. There is a lot of detail in this picture. I also said that a point and shoot is able to get quality pictures. In this case, the more expensive camera is the only thing that could get this photo. I say this because with a better camera, you get more features, and that is what was needed for this shot. Otherwise, point and shoot cameras can get great pictures.
