University of Phoenix Criminal Justice and Security Career Symposium 2014

University of Phoenix® Southern

California College of Criminal Justice and Security invites current and

prospective students and local community members to a special National Police

Week event. For more than 50 years, Police Week has been set aside to honor

those law officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. This event has been

created to honor these brave men and women who have given their lives, while

providing education opportunities for the next generation of law enforcement

professionals.

This event will provide current and prospective students, alumni and community

members with face-to-face interactions with local, state and federal leaders in

criminal justice to hear about important topics impacting our communities, and

learn directly from criminal justice professionals about entering and advancing

in these career fields. The event will include:

topics, including internet predators, digital reputation and cyber bullying.

and Mental Evaluation Unit geared towards reducing violence during police

contacts involving people suffering from mental illness.
