January 8 2020

On Tuesday, January 21, the City will participate in the 2020 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count in partnership with the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA). The City is currently recruiting volunteers to assist with this important community effort. Volunteers will meet at the Joslyn Center at 8:00 p.m. on the evening of the count to receive training, maps, materials, and assignments. Teams of two to four volunteers will then be deployed to count specific blocks within Claremont. The data gathered during this count will be used to determine how vital resources and services will be provided to the homeless individuals and families that reside in our community and throughout the Los Angeles area. For more information or to register to help, please contact Administrative Assistant Patricia Cisneros at (909) 399-5336 or pcisneros@ci.claremont.ca.us.
