Weather In Claremont This Week: Cool And Cloudy, Rain
Claremont weather this week will be cool and rainy, off and on. Your local forecast this week.

CLAREMONT, CA — San Gabriel Valley woke to wet weather on Monday, with more showers and cool temps likely across the Southland through at least Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Strong winds were expected through the predawn hours, but a wind advisory that was supposed to expire at 6 a.m. in the San Gabriel Mountains and the Antelope Valley was cancelled a couple of hours earlier.
Strong winds buffeted the region over the weekend. The NWS reported Sunday afternoon that in the previous 24 hours it recorded gusts of 59 mph at Chilao in the San Gabriels, 47 mph in the Antelope Valley, 43 mph in the Santa Clarita Valley, 42 mph in the Malibu Hills, and 39 mph in the San Fernando Valley.
Cloudy skies were forecast in Orange County, along with highs of 58 in San Clemente, Laguna Hills and Mission Viejo; 59 in Newport Beach; 60 in Yorba Linda; and 61 in Fullerton, Anaheim and Irvine. See more in your four day weather report below. Temperatures will be marginally higher Tuesday amid rain in Los Angeles County and showers in Orange County, according to an NWS forecast.

On Monday, Orange County was among the first areas hit with rain. NWS forecasting a 40 percent chance of showers in much of L.A. County, though only 30 percent in the Santa Clarita Valley and 20 percent in the Antelope Valley. Between a quarter and a third of an inch of rain is expected, said NWS meteorologist Curt Kaplan.
Also expected Monday, in contrast to the summer-like temperatures that prevailed last week, are highs ranging from the low to high 50s, although a high of only 37 is expected on Mount Wilson. Last week's highs were 10-15 degrees above normal, but Monday's will be around 10 degrees under the average, Kaplan said.

Showers are forecast in L.A. County Monday, along with highs of 37 on Mount Wilson; 53 in Saugus; 55 in Avalon and Lancaster; 56 in Palmdale; 57 in Pasadena, San Gabriel and Burbank; 58 in Woodland Hills and at LAX; 59 in Long Beach and 60 in Downtown L.A.
