What is Online School Really Like?

Upland families can learn about online school on June 4 at the California Virtual Academy High School @ Maricopa Hang Out.

It’s a mobile world. We can connect to friends and families far away through instant video chat. We can watch our favorite shows on the go. And high schoolers can go to school from anywhere there is an Internet connection through full-time online school.

Who chooses to go to school online, and why? What are some of the flexibility and personalization benefits that come with online learning? Can online high school students get a diploma and go to college? How do you build a social life when there are no ‘classrooms’?

Upland families can get questions like these (and more) answered on June 4 at 1 p.m. at the High School Hang Out hosted by California Virtual Academy High School @ Maricopa.

Bring your teen and join California Virtual Academy High School @ Maricopa at Starbucks at The Colonies to talk with teachers, staff and families about the high school program that starts fall 2015. The sky’s the limit when it comes to high-quality education for your student.
