Will Measure SC Pass In Claremont?
Measure SC would enable the city of Claremont to raise funds to build a new police station.

CLAREMONT, CA — Measure SC has gone to vote, to help the city build a new police facility, replacing the current 45-year old structure. If it passes, the city would be able to obtain up to $23.5 million in bonds to construct the building. Homeowners would pay an additional property tax of $30.33 per $100,000 on the assessed value of their homes for 25 years.
Measure SC would require a two-thirds majority, or 67 percent approval, to pass.
The passing of that measure was leading the polls with early mail in ballots posted as of 10 p.m. Tuesday.
