1 Dead In Plane Crash Near Concord

BREAKING: The aircraft possibly went down after clipping power lines near Kirker Pass Road, officials said.

CONCORD, CA – A plane has crashed near Concord this afternoon and a fatality has been confirmed, a Contra Costa Fire Protection District fire inspector said.

Someone reported around 12:30 p.m. that they saw a plane go down near Kirker Pass Road in the area of Nortonville Road, Fire Inspector Steve Aubert said.

Fire crews responded and confirmed the crash of a single-engine plane with one fatality, Aubert said.
