7 Injured In 2-Car Collision In Concord

Concord police responded to a two-car collision that sent seven people to area hospitals by air and ground.

CONCORD, CA — Three people were majorly injured early Saturday after two vehicles collided at an intersection in Concord, police said. Four other people were also hospitalized after the wreck.

At approximately 12:17 a.m., police responded to a report of the crash at the intersection on Willow Pass Road at Port Chicago Highway, the Concord Police Department said in a release.

One vehicle was traveling northbound on Port Chicago Highway and another was traveling westbound on Willow Pass Road when they collided at the adjoining intersection.

Three vehicle occupants were taken to trauma centers by air for major injuries and four others were taken to area hospitals by ground for their injuries.

The crash was still under investigation on Sunday morning. Anyone who witnessed the crash was asked to contact the Concord Police Department at 925-603-5962.
