About 1,200 Local Residents Lose Power

PG&E says storm knocked out power to customers in Concord, Pacheco and Pleasant Hill.

The severe storm slashing the Bay Area today has caused power outages to about 1,200 customers in Concord, Pleasant Hill and Pacheco.

Neighborhoods west from Solano Way to Morello Ave, and south from Monsanto Road to Golf Club Road, lost power at about 10 a.m.

PG&E spokesperson Fiona Chan says that crews will be working around the clock to restore power. Patch will post updates throughout the day about power outages, small stream flooding and other storm-related problems.
