CONCORD, CA — A car stolen in downtown Concord triggered a fast-moving search that ended Tuesday with police chasing both a vehicle and a dog inside.
Concord police tracked down the stolen vehicle near where it was last seen and found the pup, Henry, unharmed.
While waiting for his owner, Henry rode with Officer Zukowski, who gave the dog extra attention and ear scratches after the ordeal.
Police said the case ended on a positive note for a family shaken by the theft.
“For many people, pets are family," police said in a statement on social amedia announcing Henry’s safe return.
