Officers also handled vehicle theft, shoplifting at Sunvalley Shopping Center, and other burglary, DUI, and warrant arrests, outlining a busy week of public safety activity.
4. Contra Costa County: What were the best deals for residential properties sold the week of July 27? (eastbaytimes.com) — Recent Contra Costa County home sales included a standout Concord condominium on Willow Pass Court that closed for $1.25 million, reflecting strong demand for larger units. Across the county, 211 properties changed hands that week, with average prices around $1 million and several Lafayette, Walnut Creek, and other East Bay homes also topping the list.
5. High school football 2026: Week 2 scores, Saturday's schedule (eastbaytimes.com) — Concord High's football team dominated Mt. Diablo 76–7 in Week 2 action, a standout result in a busy slate of Bay Area games.
