ā¢ Popular Retailer Closing Over 100 Stores, Including 9 In CA (patch.com) ā Scrubs & Beyond is shutting down all its physical stores, including its Concord location, as part of more than 100 nationwide closures. Nine California shops will close, though the company hasn't explained the decision or detailed how many workers will be affected. Concord healthcare workers and students may now need to shop online or travel farther for uniforms.

ā¢ High school football top 10: Two teams crack into Chronicle's rankings this week (sfchronicle.com) ā Two Concord powerhouses, De La Salle and Clayton Valley Charter, loom large in this week's Bay Area high school football rankings, with De La Salle firmly at No. 1 after another blowout win. Clayton Valley Charter took a tough loss to San Ramon Valley, while other regional teams shuffled spots in a competitive early season that Concord fans will want to follow closely.
