Messy, Fiery Bay Bridge Commute

BAY AREA, CA — Bay Bridge commuters should expect delays this morning and a backup at the toll plaza.

A collision on westbound Interstate 80 east of the Bay Bridge toll plaza in Oakland has blocked the second lane from the left.

Adding to the trouble, a fire on I-80 westbound, east of I-580 West in Oakland, is slowing traffic although the vehicle is on the shoulder.

The toll plaza is backed up and drivers should expect delays, according to CalTrans.
