Two charged with kidnapping, shooting in Concord home invasion robbery (eastbaytimes.com) β A violent Concord home invasion case from March 2025 is headed to trial in mid-November, with two men facing kidnapping, robbery, and assault charges after residents were allegedly held at gunpoint and one person was shot. Prosecutors say the suspects met at a Mohr Lane 7-Eleven before targeting a Dumaine Street home, and both defendants have pleaded not guilty.

A Plane Controlled From California Landed In Utah (aero-news.net) β A pilot operating from a Joby Aviation facility in Concord remotely controlled an electric air taxi that successfully landed in Salt Lake City, demonstrating supervised autonomous flight. Utah transportation officials say the test will inform safety standards and future infrastructure, while Joby leaders envision affordable air-taxi service that could eventually expand access to transportation and emergency response.
