• Police Search For Helmeted Suspect In Concord (patch.com) — Concord residents near Monument Boulevard and Mohr Lane are being asked to stay alert as police and a helicopter search for a suspect who ran off wearing motorcycle gear and a helmet. The Concord Police Department is assisting the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office and urges anyone who spots someone matching the description to call 911 or contact an officer, rather than approaching the person.
• Verizon, Ericsson dial up 6G in 7 GHz field test (fierce-network.com) — Verizon and Ericsson just ran a pre-standard 6G field test at a commercial network site in Concord, using 7 GHz spectrum to study how signals move from outdoors into buildings. While it doesn't mean 6G service is coming immediately, it positions Concord as a real-world testbed that could influence how future ultra-fast networks are designed and deployed.
