• Police Search For Helmeted Suspect In Concord (patch.com) — Concord residents near Monument Boulevard and Mohr Lane are being urged to stay alert as police and a helicopter search for a suspect who ran off wearing motorcycle gear and a helmet. Authorities say residents should not approach anyone matching the description, but instead call 911 or contact the nearest officer while increased law enforcement activity continues in the area.
• High school football 2026: Friday's Week 8 scores, Saturday's schedule (eastbaytimes.com) — Concord football fans can celebrate a big win, with Concord High rolling past Dougherty Valley 63–14 in Week 8 action. The roundup also lists scores for De La Salle, College Park, Ygnacio Valley and many other Bay Area programs, plus remaining Friday and Saturday matchups.
