2. Concord Police Headquarters And Emergency Operations Center Facing $17.4 Million Upgrade (claycord.com) — Concord officials are weighing a $780,242 construction management contract as part of a $17.4 million renovation of the police headquarters and Emergency Operations Center on Galindo Street. The project would replace aging roofing and mechanical systems while keeping the essential facility operating, and the council will also consider consolidating project funds and planning phased construction to protect public safety services.
3. Video: Suspected drunk driver crashes into Concord restaurant (kron4.com) — Several Concord restaurants on Meadow Lane are scrambling after a suspected DUI driver crashed through the shared dining room of Chicken Time, Kabob Craze, and Little Thai House, forcing the City of Concord to close the seating area for structural repairs. While no one was hurt, owners say it could be months before indoor dining returns and are urging locals to keep them afloat with takeout and delivery orders.
4. All-time great Bay Area act shines during WNBA Finals halftime concert (eastbaytimes.com) — En Vogue recently brought their hits to the Toyota Pavilion at Concord, then wowed fans again during halftime of the WNBA Finals at Chase Center.
