CONTRA COSTA, CA — Investigators found 33 firearms and a stockpile of ammunition at the home of a Bay Point methamphetamine supplier entenced Wednesday to six years in prison for drug trafficking.
U.S. District Judge Haywood S. Gilliam Jr. sentenced Carson Fries, 34, on Wednesday. Gilliam also ordered Fries to serve four years of supervised release after his prison term.
Fries said in his plea agreement that he sold large quantities of methamphetamine in Bay Point on at least three occasions between August 29 and September 9, 2025, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California.
He sold 3.3 pounds over three days, according to a news release from the agency.
Authorities said they also found 160 grams of methamphetamine — a third of a pound, along with the firearms and ammunition.
Fries pleaded guilty July 29 to possessing with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine.
The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Concord Police Department investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Ivana Djak prosecuted it with assistance from Jessie Chelsea and Amala James.
