Block of Salvio Street in Concord to Close for Water Project

Concord, CA - (Dec. 2, 2011) One block of Salvio Street in Concord between East Olivera Road and North 6^th Street will be closed for 24-hour periods for two weeks while the Contra Costa Water District installs new controls for its distribution system.

The closures will take place on weekdays, Monday, Dec. 5 through Friday, Dec. 9, and Monday, Dec. 12 thorough Friday, Dec. 16. After Dec. 16, the street will be closed intermittently to complete the project and restore the road surface.  

The construction zone is adjacent to Willow Pass Community Park. Throughout the project, recreation facilities in the park will remain open to the public, although the Salvio Street parking lot will be inaccessible during the street closures.
