
Mark your calendar for this year’s Contra Costa County Fair, happening May 30 – June 2, 2013 at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds in Antioch.
This year’s theme is “Squeals, Deals, and Fun on Wheels,” and we’ve got four days of fun planned for Fair-goers of all ages. The Contra Costa County Fair is the perfect place to enjoy live entertainment, exciting arena events, delicious food, carnival rides, animals, and hundreds of exhibits.
For entertainment, the Fair’s 2013 concert series features Tennessee River (a tribute to Alabama) and the Chris Gardner band on Thursday; All 4 One and Big Bad Boogie Rock on Friday; Aerorocks (Aerosmith Tribute), Hot for Teacher, and Flock of 80z on Saturday evening; and FRESH on Sunday evening. On the Fiesta Stage, on Sunday afternoon, you’ll also find a Hispanic Musical Celebration. All concerts are FREE with admission to the Fair.

While visiting the Fair, take time to see some of the other highlights – Circus Imagination, Tyzen the Master Hypnotist, Jeremy the Juggler, and Skip Banks the Balloon Man. You don’t want to miss Wild About Monkeys, the only travelling animal exhibition that features trained baboons! Or hop on a carnival ride, enjoy a delicious Fair treat, play a game on the mid-way, see the livestock exhibit, or stroll the Ag Museum.
This year’s exciting arena events take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. On Friday, don’t miss the
crashing and demolition at the Boat Trailer Races and the Roll Over Competition. On Saturday, watch Stock Car Racing at the Speedway, and on Sunday, don’t leave without seeing the demolition derby!

For those interested in entering competitive exhibits, the Fair’s Exhibit Handbook is now on-line at www.ContraCostaFair.com The Fair is accepting paper entries until April 30 and on-line entries will be accepted until May 5.
Gates open at noon on Thursday and Friday, and at 11 am on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults (13 and older), $5 for seniors, $5 for children 6 to 12, and children five and under are free.
Take advantage of discounts and pre-sales on tickets by purchasing your tickets early. Advanced ticket sales begin May 1 and end May 29. Visit www.ContraCostaFair.com for discounts on daily admission tickets and carnival wrist bands. For even bigger savings, we’re offering a
Family Fun Pass, which is four 1-day admission tickets for only $20. The Family Fun Pass MUST be purchased at the
Fair Office in Antioch before May 29.
At the Fair on Thursday, the Fair will team up with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano and offer free
admission to the Fair when you bring three cans of food per person to the Fair.
