- Two neighboring businesses were burglarized Saturday morning.

Here are the top stories in Concord today:
- Cali Kid Corals and Clayton Valley Dance Academy were burglarized early Saturday morning. The two businesses are next door to each other. The thieves took aquarium lights, tablets, power tools and other valuable items. Police are investigating. (Claycord.com)
- Contra Costa County Office of Education published its annual report for the 2021-2022 school year. The report includes "includes information about the county's Board of Education, school funding, how the agency serves its most vulnerable students, and more." - U.S. Rep. Mark DeSaulnier of Concord partnered with several other lawmakers to introduce The Comprehensive Cancer Survivorship Act. The act addresses quality of care for cancer survivors and their families. "As an 8-year survivor of a non-curable treatable blood cancer, I know firsthand how important a seamless continuum of care is," said DeSaulnier. (Contra Costa News)
- A 27-year-old Antioch man was arrested for allegedly shooting at an off-duty police officer in Berkeley. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the gunplay. The suspect was arrested on charges including assault with a deadly weapon and shooting at an occupied motor vehicle, among other charges. (Contra Costa News)
- A fire was reported early Sunday morning at the Walnut Creek Motel 6 at 2389 N. Main Street. One motel unit was damaged and several others were affected by the smoke. The poor motel-goers had to stand out in the cold for over two hours while firefighters took care of the blaze. No injuries were reported. (News 24/680)
