Only the residents of the single apartment, which housed three adults and one juvenile, were displaced. No injuries were reported.
The displaced family received the first Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency, or SAVE, card issued by the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and the California Fire Foundation.
The card provides fire victims with a $100 gift card to buy basic immediate necessities, Laing said. Story here: Contra Costa Victims Of Major Fires, Disasters To Soon Receive Gift Cards.
