BART Shut Down After Possible Human Remains Found On Concord Tracks
Service in both directions between Pleasant Hill and Pittsburg/Bay Point is stopped Monday morning.

BART has shut down service in both directions between Pleasant Hill and Pittsburg/Bay Point after possible human remains were found on the tracks this morning, an agency spokeswoman said.
The report came in around 8:50 a.m. of blood and possible human remains on the tracks between the Concord and North Concord stations, BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost said.
BART police are out at the scene to investigate the case and shut down the trackway, Trost said.

BART officials were working to establish a bus bridge between the Pleasant Hill and Pittsburg/Bay Point stations as of 9:30 a.m., she said.
