Body Found Submerged In Creek In Bay Area
Crime scene investigators and detectives with the violent crimes unit were investigating the case.
ANTIOCH, CA — A body was found in a creek in the East Bay, authorities said.
Police responded to a report of a body floating in a creek around 11:15 a.m. Sunday in the 5700 block of Slatten Ranch Road in Antioch, according to the Antioch Police Department.
"When officers arrived, they located a person deceased submerged in the water," police said in a news release.

The person's cause of death was unknown, but the department's crime scene investigators and detectives with the violent crimes unit were investigating the case.
The cause of death will be determined by the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Coroner's Office. The victim's name was withheld pending notification of their next of kin, police said.
