Carondelet H.S. Seeks OK Of Bond Approval For STEM Center
Repayment of $10 million in bonds would be school's responsibility, but Concord city officials to decide.

CONCORD, CA – Carondelet High School seeks approvals to spend $10 million in tax-exempt bond proceeds to pay for a new 20,000-square-foot STEM Innovation Center at the school's campus off Treat Boulevard.
The City of Concord is being asked to approve the issuance of these bonds. Since the new building would be within the city, the city's "applicable elected representative" - the City Council - must approve the financing. This approval is on the Concord City Council's agenda for Tuesday
night's meeting.
The city would have no financial responsibility for bond payments, which would be entirely the responsibility of the high school.

The STEM building would host science, technology, engineering and math labs and classrooms at the all-girls' Catholic high school, which is adjacent to the De La Salle High School campus, a Catholic school for boys.
It is part of the school's current $38 million capital campaign.
